BACKGROUND
ITTINA ANIMATION STUDIOS is a venture of ITTINA GROUP OF COMPANIES. ITTINA is known for being one of Bangalore’s largest Property development companies having over 30 projects all over India and having a 2005 financial year turnover of over 125 million USD and a projected turnover of over 450 million USD for 2006-2007.
ITTINA ANIMATION STUDIOS is guided by the principles of quality and artistic integrity. The company strives to encourage innovation and foster creativity among its artists. It does this by investing in a training program for its employees and by working with TAKSHAA (the educational arm of Ittina Animation Studios www.takshaa.com) to help train new animators.
ITTINA ANIMATION STUDIOS is a studio with immense creative, technical and production capabilities and a goal to foster a new generation of animation storytelling in India. We specialize in character animation but our skills extend to all aspects of CG production. With our knowledge, talent and experience we are to handle any animation need and bring superior quality to any project we take on.
BRIEF ABOUT THE TEAM
The creatives involved have vast experience working in the top animation studios around the world on major hollywood blockbusters and commercials. ITTINA ANIMATION STUDIOS is headed by Manu Ittina, who has extensive experience in Hollywood. He has worked on various capacities on movies like X-men, The Majestic etc. Most recently working as a character animator on Shrek2 and Madagascar at PDI/DreamWorks. He completed his BFA (Animation) with honors from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. In addition he has studied at Sheridan College, Canada and School of Visual Arts, New York.
Other Principle creatives include Bill Miller, Ruturaj Arolkar, Aaraty Mehta and Anuj Anand. Bill, a CalArts product, has worked extensively as an animator at world class companies such as Disney, DreamWorks and Weta. He has won several awards for the commercials he has worked on. Ruturaj Arolkar is a modeler educated in the US. He has worked on several independent feature films in the US and has worked as a senior modeler in Rhythm and Hues, Mumbai. Aaraty Mehta has worked extensively in the game space in the US. She has worked in the FMV group at Midway games on games such as Mortal Kombact, Psi-Op etc. Anuj Anand has over 3 years of experience working as a Visual effects artist on major Hollywood productions and commercials such as Constantine, the Cave, Silent Hill etc. in leading effects houses such as ESC, Digital Domain, Technicolor, Mr. X etc.
In addition, ITTINA has acquired key talent in the technological space. Its pipeline team is comprised of senior programmers and consultants who have experience in companies such as Framestore, Alias and ESC.
